Designed in Amsterdam, rooted in Morocco
Balacona Studio pairs Arabic calligraphy with the geometry of Moroccan zellige, and designs for the families who live between languages: at home in Europe, rooted in the Arab world.
Every design is bilingual, English with Arabic, and most also come in Dutch, German and French editions in the shop. Names are lettered with care, dates are checked against the Hijri calendar, and nothing leaves the studio until it has been proofread.
A piece of Morocco on your wall, and a piece of home in your hallway.
